( Construction Notes ) This was Ashley's very first sailor senshi fuku and I wanted to do an original design different from any other sailor senshi costume. I was heavily inspired from Naoko's Sailor Cosmos design, hence the reason for the cape, feathers, and abundance of ribbons. I did not know how to use a sewing machine at this time, so my mother made the core of the costume while I finished it off with all the accents, props, and cape. I used a flimsy lycra for the bodice and high quality satin for the skirts, sleeves, and collar. The mirror was purchased at a local drug store and I added jewels and the Neptune symbol to the back.
